Poco F3 is the non-Asian version of the Redmi K40 series, offering almost the same features at a slightly higher price.
The Redmi K40 comes with a Snapdragon 870 processor, 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The camera has a 48 megapixel Sony IMX582 sensor. The photo setup is complemented by an 8mp ultrawide camera, 5MP macro camera and 20MP front camera. Poco F3 is also expected to take over these features, but unlike Asians, Europeans also receive a version with 6GB / 128GB memory, the manufacturer trying to pull the price down.
Being SD 870, 5G connectivity will not be missing (only the sub-6GHz band is supported), even if the performance is not even at the level of a real flagship.
The screen is AMOLED, the panel provided by Samsung with a diagonal of 6.67 ”, Full HD + resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. Scratch protection is provided with Gorilla Glass 5.
The 4,250 mAh battery supports fast charging at 33W in USB-C mode. The list of features is completed with Wi-Fi 6 support, infrared sensor and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
Xiaomi will deliver the new Poco F3 together with the Android 11 version, in MIUI 12 interpretation. Unfortunately, the exact price and launch schedule are not known yet. We can expect the series to include a Pro model, respectively Pro +, following the example of the Redmi K40 series.
