Pokemon Sword and Shield are upcoming twin video games developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokemon Company and Nintendo. The games were first announced in February 2019, and according to some of the latest announcements, they will be launched on November 15, 2019.
The pre-release of the video games received positive reviews from both critics and fans. Even though the starter Pokemon designs received some criticism, there were some factors that made up for it, like the open world and Dynamaz gameplay elements.
Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Wild Area offers players the chance to explore an open-world environment, which is a new element for the series. While wandering around the world, you can encounter Pokemon of all levels, as well as other players. Even more exciting, that portion of the in-game map can be previewed today, a few days before the official release of the games. Nintendo launched a Wild Area search app, which lets you zoom around the open world and find out interesting details about the Pokemon in the area.
The app is based on a 3D diorama that showcases the Wild Area. You can explore it using the arrow at the bottom of the screen. Any Pokemon you may encounter is clickable and will display a bit of information. However, the app is only available in Japanese right now, so you may not understand the text shown. Still, you can use the app to look around the 3D replica of Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Wild Area. Some Pokemon will show little animations when you click on them, so look out for those.
The Wild Area search app sure is a distraction from the almost unbearable waiting until Pokemon Sword and Shield are released on Friday. The latest trailer reveals a bunch of new Pokemon and new features that will enhance your experience playing in the Galar region. Hold on tight! There are only a few more days to go.
