Have you ever wondered what is the app that sits at the core of the Android operating system, the app that provides Android fans with a premium user experience? Some of you might think that Google Play Store is the most important component in the Android operating system but this is not the case. Google Play Services is, in fact, the app that makes sure all Android powered smartphones deliver fast performances and software stability.
Google Play Services is a background app that is used for many important services such as providing authentication to other Google services, synchronized contacts, access to all the latest user privacy settings, and higher quality, lower quality power location based services. This is why it shouldn’t come as a surprise to find out that Google is updating Google Play Services on a daily basis.
Google Play Services 19.6.29 Update
We have some great news to share with Android fans today. A brand-new update which sports the 19.6.29 version number has just started rolling out for Google Play Services and we are advising everyone to download it as soon as possible. The reason behind that is that the new update for Google Play Services aims to improve the overall performances of the Android operating system and it does that by introducing software tweaks and bug fixes which are tackling various issues that could cause glitches.
The new update for Google Play Services can be downloaded via OTA (over the air) channels just by keeping the smartphone connected to a stable Wi-Fi network or by manually downloading and installing it in the form of APK (Android Package Kit). However, all Android fans need to keep in mind that APK releases are compatible only with Android-powered smartphones that have the “Unknown Sources” option set as enabled.
