Master SHAREit with These Tips and Tricks

SHAREit is one of the most popular file-sharing apps, allowing users to send large files in a few minutes without the need to use other accessories or an active internet connection.

Besides the file-sharing functionality, the app offers a wide selection of handy features. Read below to learn more about the app and how to use it.

How does it work?

SHAREit harnesses the power of a technology known as Wi-Fi Direct to offer superior transfer speed. It works by creating a private local Wi-Fi network which is used by the people to share files between several devices. The range is limited, and there is a maximum number of users at a given time.

How to send files to a single user

Check to see that your device is the sender and add the files. The recipient will receive a notice, and after they accept the answer, the task will begin. Received files can be found in the Downloads folder of the device or the My Files section of the SHAREit app. Keep in mind that both devices need to run the app, and the Wi-Fi needs to be turned on.

Using the Group Share feature

The Group Share feature allows users to receive files from several devices at the same time. To enable it to follow these steps:

Tap on the menu icon, which can be found in the upper-left area of the screen.

Select the Group Share option from the list.

Tap on the Join Group option to search for groups in your proximity.

Tap on the avatar of the desired group and enter the password offered by the group administrator.

Share files via the web

If you want to send a file to someone who doesn’t have the app installed, you can use the web transfer feature. After the upload is completed a shareable link will be provided.
