Netflix vs. Hulu: Best Features and Prices Comparison

There are so many video streaming services; we sometimes just do not know which one to choose. Two of the most popular video streaming services are Hulu and Netflix. We are here to put them to the test and see which one is better in terms of features, pricing. As an overall idea, we think Netflix is worth all of our money and time, but Hulu has its perks, as well.

When it comes to features

Netflix is available in more than 190 countries – Pakistan, India, USA, Australia, Bangladesh are among them. The interface is straightforward to understand, and you can stream the videos in 4K. You can also save content and watch them offline whenever you want – which we believe is the best feature.

There are many popular TV shows and movies, and also Netflix originals. Netflix originals have become very popular in the last years, and they keep adding good shows. We are talking about 100,000 TV shows and movies, and they keep adding every day. There are no ads whatsoever.

There is one annoying thing: the shows that air on TV meets the library late – I watch the episode on TV today, and I can watch the same episode on Netflix when the next season is airing on TV. Yes, this kind of late.

Hulu is only available for the US. The interface is pretty easy, as well, but it doesn’t come with all the features that Netflix has. We have no 4K quality, but we do have the HD quality, which is ok.

Hulu does not give you the chance to save videos to watch them later offline. If you have access to the internet, then you can watch something on Hulu. Walt Disney owns it, which is not bad at all.

Hulu has a collection of 2500 movies and 1657 TV Shows. You do have ads between episodes, but for $11.99 for every month, you can get rid of those, too.

In comparison to Netflix, if an episode airs today on TV, tomorrow you’ll have it on Hulu. You can also watch live TV.

When it comes to price

Netflix has three plans: Basic – $8.99 per month (standard streaming quality and only one device), Standard – $12.99 per month (HD quality streaming, and two devices), Premium – $15.99 per month (4K HDR quality streaming and four devices).

Hulu Basic ($5.99/month for limited ads in between, $11.99/month for no ads). This one comes with 4K streaming quality for some content and only one device.

Hulu with Live TV ($44.99/month). This one also comes with 4K quality for some content and only one device.

You can record live TV and watch it later. For Hulu Plus, you get all the fantastic channels, such as CNN, Fox News, ESPN, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. For an additional fee, you can also get Showtime, HBO, and Cinemax.
