It is already quite evident that fans of the popular Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) cannot pass by even the most insignificant clue regarding the game. New leaks have now surfaced after a teaser released by the developer, Rockstar Games, on the upcoming GTA 5 Online DLC mission and another one by specific codes on the title files of Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR 2).
The potential location in GTA 6
The short teaser released by the developer depicted the Diamond Casino Heist, but fans noticed a map that appeared for only milliseconds. The map allegedly highlights a specific region of South America, more precisely, Brazil. This location is one of the most probable sites where GTA 6 might be set, according to numerous leaks. Fans have now started wondering whether Rockstar Games has purposefully placed the map in the teaser, to announce the upcoming GTA location.
The second series of leaks originated from the game files of the renown Red Dead Redemption 2. Leaker and data miner Tezfunz2 noticed something in one of the game’s files; more particularly, a mention that says ‘MISC AMERICAS SCRIPT STATS,’ which could be a mention to Project Americas, the project name given to GTA 6. The name is only used internally by the title’s developers, as The Know, a Texas-based entertainment news channel, claimed a few years ago.
A more intriguing fact about the Red Dead Redemption 2 game file is that the name of the document was later changed to ‘MISC SCRIPT STATS,’ with the change probably being an intentional move made by the developer to hide specific details about the development of the GTA 6. A few fans said on GTA forums that some codes were used in Red Dead Redemption 2 game files, and a bunch of ‘vehicle flags’ have been used.
GTA 6 possible release date
When it comes to RDR 2, there were no vehicles used in the game whatsoever, except for wagons, trains, and horse carriages. Therefore, this can mean that the codes are actually coming from another game that’s being worked on, which could only point to GTA 6, as it is entirely vehicle-oriented. New reports recently claimed that GTA 6 could launch in late 2020 for the next-generation consoles.
