Silent Hill: Escape Revealed By Konami, But It Won’t Be How You Imagine

Yesterday, Konami announced the launch of Silent Hill: Escape. The Silent Hill sequel, one of the most sought-after games in the world, won’t be how you imagine. Silent Hill made history, both in the video gaming and movie industry.

As it seems, Konami did not ditch Silent Hill. According to the recent announcement made by Konami, Silent Hill: Escape is under development as we speak. However, the sequel won’t be in the same array as the other Silent Hill games. Instead, Silent Hill: Escape would complete the Konami’s video slot cabinets.

Accordingly, Konami would not release a new Silent Hill game, but the Japanese devs would launch a new casino-like game.

The new Silent Hill: Escape game won’t be a genuine sequel in the series

“This cabinet is a striking combination of sleek entertainment, premium packaging, and player comfort, backed by a rich library of original titles. Everything, including its shape, screens, betting surface, and available merchandising, has been engineered to maximize both player experience and operational results. This latest cabinet is the first glimpse at great things to come from Konami,” explained Tom Jingoli, the VP and CCO at Konami.

In August of this year, Konami made the fans of the Silent Hill series hoping as the devs released information that the company works on a new title in the franchise. Apparently, Konami was only talking about the Silent Hill: Escape casino game.

Evidently, this news from Konami baffled some of the Silent Hill’s fans who were hoping to get a new title in the Silent Hill series. At the moment, we only know that the Japanese developers would roll out a casino game – Silent Hill: Escape. As it looks now, Konami is not going to do anything more with the Silent Hill franchise, unfortunately. We hope that would change in the future.
