The Elder Scrolls 6 Release Date, Storyline, And More

Eight years have passed since The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim was unleashed upon the world, receiving praise from players and reviewers alike. In the meantime, fans had the chance to enjoy The Elder Scrolls Online, The Elder Scrolls: Blades and The Elder Scrolls: Legends, three titles that offer a wealth of content. However, fans are looking forward to the release of the new The Elder Scrolls 6 game. But Bethesda is keen on keeping all the information about the upcoming title a secret.

Bethesda released more details about the title

Bethesda has faced some severe backlash as the company attracted the ire of Fallout fans due to the disastrous release and evolution of Fallout 76, the first live service multiplayer title developed by the company.

During E3 2018 Bethesda showcased a short teaser trailer related to the TES 6 but mentioned that the title is still in the early stages of development. Since then, the studio did not offer any details about the game, but the internet is filled with rumors.

The Elder Scrolls 6 storyline

According to some sources, the events of the next game could take place in the Summerset Isles, the Black Marsh, Hammerfell, and the other regions in High Rock, except Daggerfall. Elsweyr and Valenwood are also suitable candidates.

During the events of Skyrim, the Aldmeri Dominion conquered three provinces (Summerset Isles, Valenwood and Elsweyr) and Hammerfell, Black Marsh and Morrowind left the Empire. Massive shifts of power tend to appear quite often in Elder Scrolls titles along with a significant time skip. Oblivion and Skyrim are separated by 200 years.

The story of The Elder Scrolls 6 could take place during a new war between the Empire and the Aldmeri Dominion. A refreshed Empire could attempt to reunite all of Tamriel under its influence.

The Elder Scrolls 6 release date

With a new generation of consoles arriving next year, it is thought that The Elder Scrolls 6 will not be released for the PS4 and Xbox One. The game could arrive in 2020 or 2021, but only time will tell.
