There are tens of chatting apps that provide users with all the features that they need in order to communicate with their friends and family members. However, WhatsApp is the one that does it the best! The reason why we are saying that is because WhatsApp is equipped with a plethora of cool features but more importantly, the developers who are in charge of the app are putting a high priority on user privacy and this is why every message that is sent via WhatsApp is encrypted at the highest level.
WhatsApp’s developers are constantly looking for new ways to improve the overall security of the chatting app and they are doing this by introducing new features and software improvements. This is why today we are going to present WhatsApp’s latest update which introduces support for the fingerprint scanner.
WhatsApp 2.19.330 Update
As previously noted, a brand-new update has just been released for WhatsApp. The update sports the 2.19.330 version number and it’s rolling out via OTA (over the air) channels. Therefore, we are advising all WhatsApp fans to keep their smartphones connected to a stable Wi-Fi network so that they can be among the first ones to download it.
Added Support for the Fingerprint Scanner
The new update is now making it possible for WhatsApp to unlock the chatting app only via the fingerprint scanner, directly through the app’s menu! This feature can be enabled by heading over to the Settings panel, accessing the Account – Privacy – Fingerprint Lock options and then by tapping on “Unlock”.
While the new feature that WhatsApp’s latest update introduces is not something groundbreaking that will change the way users communicate, it’s certainly a great addition. WhatsApp users will never have to worry about someone stealing their smartphones and accessing their private conversations.
