WhatsApp is Set To Release Three New Features

WhatsApp is ready to introduce some brand-new features soon. The update will contain a Dark Mode, with a light and a dark theme, and a battery-saving option. We will also get a feature for deleting messages. The Dark Mode was highly expected, so its release will bring joy among users. Such an upgrade, however, is still under development.

WhatsApp is permanently updating its software to incorporate a slew of options to provide excellent messaging and call experience to its users. Some of the options are still under development, while some of them have been tossed out as stable upgrades for both iOS and Android devices.

WhatsApp Dark Mode

The Dark Mode had many roll-outs in the past, a fact that indicates a soon release. According to the WABetaInfo report, a blog that observes WhatsApp developments, the Facebook-owned social messaging app is now working on Battery Saver options before activating the Dark Theme. The upgrade arrived in the WhatsApp 2.19.353 Beta.

Moreover, WhatsApp developers are working on three features for enabling the Dark Mode, as seen by the blog. The first feature is the original light theme, the second feature is the dark theme, and there is also a third one called “Set by Battery Saver.”

All of these updates are still under development, and it is entirely right if you don’t notice any WhatsApp related upgrades on your devices yet. These upgrades are being tested on Android Beta before the launch of a steady variant.

Battery Saving feature in WhatsApp

The Battery Saving feature, on the other hand, WABetaInfo, noticed that WhatsApp could automatically enable/disable the Dark Theme based on your Android device Battery Saver options.

Such a thing suggests that the app would detect the device’s battery saver options and consequently turn the app darker when your device’s battery decreases below a specific percentage.

Self-destructing messages

The last feature, WhatsApp, is set to introduce the Self-destructing message option. Currently, the feature is available on the Android Beta version, and this upgrade can automatically delete a message after some time as chosen by the user. Once available.

However, the feature will arrive with an option of an on/off button, and users can select a specific time for the messages to disappear automatically in WhatsApp. You can pick from 1 hour to 1 year.
