Xhyll, a 4Chan user who claims to be in touch with a former Nintendo employee, divulged some alleged insider knowledge of the company’s plan for the game. According to those sources, Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2’s release date is linked to the release of Switch 2.
Even more, Xhyll claims that Nintendo’s next console will be exclusively designed for home gaming, supporting 4K resolution. Switch 2 will have huge improvements when it comes to computing and graphics that will be displayed by BotW2. In addition, the same 4Chan user said that Nintendo will release a 10-minute gameplay demo video of the upcoming game.
According to leakers, Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 will be a launch title for the Switch 2 at the beginning of 2021. The title of the games hasn’t been confirmed yet, but rumors claim it will be “Zelda Breath of the Darkness.”
Further rumors say that Zelda might be a playable character in the upcoming title. Xhyll said: “A battle is then shown where Link and Zelda fight together against a Dark Guardian in underground ruins. Zelda helps Link by assisting him in the battle by protecting him with a dazzling light when he is in trouble and highlighting the enemy’s weaknesses.”
