Galaxy A82 appears in the Google database with high-end processor from Qualcomm

Samsung already has an almost complete range of mid-range devices in the Galaxy A family in 2021, but it seems that we will receive at least one more model, superior to those already available. This is what appears to be a Galaxy A82, which could, for the first time, be equipped with a high-end chipset, even if not necessarily a recent one. It could consequently be the most powerful Galaxy A so far.

Google lists the Galaxy A82 in its development console

Google’s development console often reveals devices before they are officially announced. The same thing happened with the new Galaxy A82 from Samsung, which, apparently, is not very far from an official revelation. This could be the first Galaxy A series 8 model in the last two years, the A80 model with a rotating camera being the latest model of this kind. The Google console lists this model as “Galaxy Quantum2” and lists some of its hardware and software specifications.

Galaxy A82 should be the top of the range of Samsung’s mid-range series, yet it could even be considered a high-end phone, given that it is listed in the Google system with a Snapdragon 855+ chipset, a model of top from 2019. The rest of the configuration is rather aligned to the mid-range range, with 6 GB of RAM and a Full HD + screen.

As expected, the phone will come with Android 11, and the camera system will not be far from that of the cheaper variants in the Galaxy A range, with a 64-megapixel main sensor. What we can know for sure is that the phone will no longer use a rotating camera, as in the photo the phone appears with a perforated screen, in which a front camera is integrated.
