Connecting to Delta WiFi takes three steps and a free SkyMiles account. Put your device in Airplane Mode, turn WiFi back on, then choose the DeltaWiFi.com network.
The sign-in page should open by itself. If it does not, type deltawifi.com into your browser and log in with your SkyMiles details.
That is the whole flow on a Delta Sync aircraft. The friction sits elsewhere: the device you signed in on, the portal you got, and one iPhone setting that kills member offers.
The step almost everyone does out of order
Airplane Mode goes on first, before WiFi. Delta lists it that way in its own instructions.
Leaving the cellular radio on lets your phone keep hunting for a ground tower, interrupting the login partway through.
VPN order matters too. Join the network, sign in, then switch the VPN on. A VPN already running intercepts the redirect that should be showing you the portal.
It is the same kind of browser sign-in screen you meet when you log into your home router. If your VPN keeps disconnecting afterwards, the ground-level fixes apply in the air.
Log in on every device, not just your phone
Delta puts no cap on device count. Connect an unlimited number of devices to free WiFi by visiting deltawifi.com and signing into SkyMiles on each one.
Laptop, tablet, phone, kid’s iPad: each one needs its own login.
Android, iOS, macOS and Windows all work. Paid flight passes do not: they lock to one device and cannot be transferred.
Which portal you land on decides what is free
Delta runs two systems, and the portal tells you which one you got.
Delta Sync Wi-Fi, presented by T-Mobile, is the free one. It runs gate to gate on over 800 aircraft and lets you log in to SkyMiles, enroll free, or buy a Flight Pass.
The older system is Wi-Fi Onboard, formerly Gogo. That portal sells a flight pass or gives free messaging, with no free full-access tier.
Paying buys nothing in speed. Delta states that streaming WiFi runs at the same speed for everyone, however you connected.
Messaging still works when full access does not
Messaging is included in Delta Sync and free on every flight with Wi-Fi Onboard. Once connected, iMessage, WhatsApp and Messenger behave normally.
SMS is fussier. It can lag up to 15 minutes, and WiFi Calling must be on for texts to move. MMS is not supported, and iPhone-to-Android media needs iOS 18 or later with RCS enabled.
Signed in but the member offers will not open
Check iCloud Private Relay. It masks your IP address, which can interfere with offer eligibility, so the Paramount+ and YouTube Premium previews fail silently.
Open Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, then Private Relay, and toggle it off. Rejoin the portal afterwards.

Join SkyMiles before you board, since enrolling needs a connection you lose once the door closes. Delta publishes its WiFi service by aircraft if you want to check your plane.
Do I have to pay to connect to Delta WiFi?
Not on most flights. Delta Sync Wi-Fi is free for SkyMiles members on most domestic and international routes, and membership costs nothing. Some regional aircraft still charge.
How many devices can I connect with one SkyMiles account?
An unlimited number. Delta does not cap device count on free WiFi, but each device must visit deltawifi.com and sign in separately. A paid flight pass covers only the device that bought it.
Why does the Delta WiFi login page never appear?
Your browser is blocking the redirect, or a VPN is intercepting it. Type deltawifi.com into the address bar yourself, try a private window, and keep the VPN off until you are in.
