The Dell XPS series of laptops is one of the most powerful and versatile on the market, being dedicated to a wide range of customers. Whether we are talking about those who need a high-performance computer for office work, or in the “work from home” mode, or we are talking about content creators and even business clients, XPS models satisfy all their needs.
The Dell XPS 13, in particular, is one of the most popular laptops in the last few years, being awarded the title of “Best of Show” at CES and other technology fairs. Each model has been appreciated, and the current version manages to be the best in its category, benefiting from many innovative software and hardware advantages.
We are talking primarily about a laptop computer adapted to today’s needs. It is equipped with Dell Mobile Connect software, which is compatible with both iOS and Android. Thus, through the XPS 13 you can take multitasking to a higher level, being able to use many of the phone’s functions directly on your laptop, thus being able to accomplish certain things faster and easier to organize. You can answer the phone directly from your computer and send messages without interrupting your work pace.
And because many XPS 13 users need to sign documents, draw or do some tasks faster, Dell also allows you to connect a stylus for use on the touch screen. This is the Dell Premium Active Pen 579x model, which should help even content creators to edit photos or better organize their work files.
And for content creators but also for those who consume a lot of multimedia content, Dell Cinema’s capabilities will certainly be appreciated. For example, CinemaColor technology offers four modes of use, depending on the activity you perform, allowing you to display HDR content compatible with the DolbyVision standard (on certain compatible models) to display a range of colors as natural as possible. CinemaSound protects sound playback from distortion, while Waves Nx technology provides proper spacing for surround sound. Last but not least, Dell integrates CinemaStream technology on XPS 13, which prioritizes streaming video content streams from popular services, reducing the risk of buffering by up to 10 times, even on slower connections.
Current configurations for Dell XPS 13 models include 11th generation Intel Core processors (i3, i5 and i7), up to 32 GB of RAM and fast M.2 SSDs with up to 2 TB of storage. All these are housed in a computer weighing only 1.2 kg and only 1.5 cm thick.
Of course, every Dell XPS model is equipped with Microsoft’s Windows 10 Home operating system. And with this operating system, in addition to compatibility with all applications and services required for business, office or creative, there is the advantage of exclusive capabilities. Like Windows Hello, which allows authentication via fingerprint or facial recognition or voice commands via the Cortana voice assistant. They are pre-installed and provide extra security and ease of use.
Last but not least, Dell XPS computers are very environmentally friendly. They were awarded at CES 2018 with the award for innovation. 25% of the packaging materials are recycled plastic that was collected from the ocean, and the rest from other recycled plastics. The XPS 13 2-in-1 is also Energy Star certified for low power consumption, while no XPS model integrates toxic materials such as cadmium, lead, mercury, BFR or PVC. Of course, a large part of the components are recyclable, up to 90% of the components can be reused at the end of the “life” of each device.
