Fossil is preparing the first LTE smartwatch in the offer

Fossil has entered the smart accessories market without giving up the brand label associated with luxury watches, managing to combine old and new technologies in truly creative smartwatch products, even if they lack certain important features such as LTE connection.

Recommended by the very long service life obtained with each battery charge, hybrid models such as the Fossil Hybrid HR are rather compromise solutions designed to give the ordinary watch and other functions related to modern technology.

If the first includes physical arms for the time indication function and e-ink screen in the background, with the role of making more advanced functions possible, the new gadget identified with the model name C1NF1 seems to be a smartwatch in all its power, provided with access to the internet via LTE and WiFi connection.

Keeping the labeling used so far, the new product family could be called Fossil Gen 6 and includes at least one LTE smartwatch.

Fossil Group, one of the most successful manufacturers of smart watches with Wear OS, agreed last year to sell most of the intellectual property rights for $ 40 million, plus the R&D division where smartwatch products are created. The new partner, Google, will probably support an even better integration with the Wear OS platform.

Equipped with LTE support and powered by the new Snapdragon Wear 4100 chipset, Fossil smartwatches are likely to reach the subscription offers of mobile operators more easily, increasing the sales of the manufacturing company.
