Huawei is preparing a large launch event for June 2. In addition to HarmonyOS, its new operating system, which will apparently be the basis of all its smart devices, the company also plans a few hardware releases. Yesterday the presence of the Huawei Watch 3 watch was confirmed during this event, and today the company launched a new “teaser” which suggests that we will also receive a new tablet from the “MatePad Pro” range.
MatePad Pro 2 will use a new M-Pen stylus
The Huawei MatePad Pro range of tablets has stood out in recent years through the use of high-performance components, large screens, keyboard and stylus support, as well as the ability to work in tandem with the company’s phones and laptops.
Huawei’s MatePad Pro 2 could debut next week, as the company released an image with a new generation M-Pen Stylus, similar to the one we saw last year on the MatePad Pro. The tablet will run HarmonyOS, its new software, but as with the phones, full compatibility with the apps in the App Gallery on Android is expected.
At the hardware level, rumors speak of 12.2 “or 12.6” screens, in tune with other high-end models of the competition, along with a Kirin 9000 processor, the same one I met in the fall on the smartphone series Mate 40s. Also, Huawei P50, the series of new smartphones, will most likely be equipped with the same processor. Unlike the competition’s tablets, however, the Huawei MatePad Pro 2 could use fast charging at 40W.
But for sure, Huawei will have other surprises during the launch event. Given that we have not yet received an official confirmation of the P50 range phones, they will probably be the biggest surprise next week. These are expected with 1 ā€¯photo sensors and the new HarmonyOS operating system.
