The top of the range Xiaomi Mi 11 will soon have a Mi 11 Lite version, offering mid-level performance and less extravagant features.
Xiaomi unveiled the new Mi 11 flagship at the end of December, the first high-end smartphone based on Snapdragon 888 costing the equivalent of 500 euros in Chinese store offerings. But this will not be the only one, Xiaomi preparing to launch a Mi 11 Pro version with ultra-premium features, respectively a Lite edition addressed to buyers with a more modest budget.
According to the latest rumors, the phone retains a design very similar to the flagship model, except in a key aspect. Thus, the Lite model comes with a less expensive screen, without curved edges. The LCD-IPS screen supports FHD + resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
The phone uses a mid-range chipset from Qualcomm’s manufacturer, Snapdragon 732G, helped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Except for the very similar exterior design, the Lite model has few features in common, the version based on SD 888, the latter having an AMOLED screen with QHD resolution, integrated 5G modem and more RAM.
