Xiaomi confirms: Mi 11, the first phone with Snadpdragon 888 comes next week

Xiaomi has again confirmed the launch of the Mi 11 series. The Chinese manufacturer will hold a presentation event in China on December 28, where it will present its new high-end smartphones. These will be the first models on the market that will use the new Snapdragon 888 chipset from Qualcomm, the most powerful currently available on the Android platform.

Xiaomi will be the first manufacturer to launch a Snapdragon 888 phone

The company revealed on its Weibo account that it will hold a presentation event last week. It is going to announce there the new Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro, the devices that will probably remain the strongest in its portfolio until the autumn, when we will probably see the Mi 11T series. These are expected with cameras with 108 megapixel sensors and the new top processor from Qualcomm.

Unfortunately, we do not have many new details about these models. It is rumored that they will integrate QHD + screens at 120 Hz and that they will benefit from large batteries, of 4,780, respectively 4,970 mAh with 50W charging. Of course, they are expected first in the Chinese market, then in the international markets.

This means that, although they will probably be the first Snapdragon 888 models on the market, they could appear in Europe, for example, later than the models of other manufacturers, which are also preparing new phones equipped with the top processor from Qualcomm.

In fact, the first unofficial test with a Xiaomi Mi 11 model has already been found in the GeekBench database, where the phone obtained a score of 1,135 points in single-core tests and 3,642 points in multi-core. These results suggest a 15-20% performance contribution compared to the Snapdragon 865+ processor.
